Two high-quality musical performances were performed this week in the garden of st. Elizabeth's Elderly Home in Oradea, managed by the Caritas Catolica Association.

An important principle of Caritas Catolica's activities is to provide assistance to all those in need as much as possible, regardless of their nationality or religious affiliation. In this spirit, aid packages were distributed to those in need, with the occasion of both Catholic and Orthodox Easter Holidays.

This everyday hero has visited us today, and yet again: he didn’t come with empty hands. Without big publicity, but with dedicated work, and a modest Christian attitude he silently supports our work from the background, helping the poor people of the Oradea Diocese.

The annual general meeting of Caritas Catolica was held on Tuesday, 16th of March, in the festivity hall of the Bishop's Palace.

In previous years, Bishop Laszlo Böcskei has traditionally visited all the home care centers of Caritas Catolica in the diocese, as well as the patients they care for. As epidemiological regulations did not allow such a visit this year, on Friday, 26 February 2021, the bishop invited the staff of Caritas Catolica to the Bishop's Palace in Oradea. At present Caritas cares for 276 patients in the diocese on a daily basis.

In the context of the winter period, and very cold weather announced by the authorities, Caritas Catolica tries to help even more the homeless and the needy.

We would like to express our gratitude tot he Yolo Cakes bakery for sweetening the day of the residents of St. Martin’s Elderly Home with a donation of cookies.
