The distribution ceremony was organized in partnership with Caritas Catolica to personally bring the prepared "shoe boxes" together with friends, volunteers and donors. The packages contained sweets, toothpaste, toys, school supplies or caps, scarves, gloves. He explained that each of the 180 packages is unique—and they were all made with great love.
Two German media outlets, the Schwäbischen Zeitung and the Gemeindeblatt Dürmentingen, helped by announcing this action, so many readers got involved in the chain of charity. At the institutional level, the Realschule Riedlingen school and the Rotary-Club group Kirchheim-Nürtingen joined, the latter generously contributed to the joy of children with 30 packages.
In Bihor County, disadvantaged students studying in the day care centers administered by the Diakonia Christian Foundation were invited to the giving ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, December 28, in the Săcueni Museum. The City Hall provided school buses for students coming in from different localities.
Together with the municipalities, the Foundation operates after-school programs for children in 8 locations. The disciplined participation of young children at the event, praises the conscientious work of educators and social workers for. Their performance included Christmas carols, poems and New Year's greetings.
While from the following 6 localities the children were able to receive the gifts in person – Cadea, Tarcea, Cherechiu, Ciocaia, Cubulcut, and Sânnicolau de Munte –, two other localities were represented by teachers (Cheșereu and Curtuişeni) and they will deliver the gift packages to the local children.
After the distribution of gifts, a group photo was taken in front of the beautiful christmas tree in the square, and all the children returned home full of joy and excitement so that they could open the gift boxes at home.
