The cheerful group of 25 students was divided into several teams: under the coordination of the institution's director, Paur Andrea, and social worker Sîrca Vivien, some students planted flowers, pruned trees, removed weeds, raked, and cleaned garden furniture in preparation for the warm season. Another group made thin pancakes filled with chocolate cream and fruit jam for the residents, while a third team spent time in the dining hall, chatting with the elderly. Often, the greatest gift one can give the residents is sincere interest and human connection.

The elderly home staff worked alongside the students, and the activities took place in a joyful atmosphere. Thanks to the good mood, the morning flew by, and the courtyard quickly took on a tidy appearance. After finishing the gardening work, the students tasted the pancakes prepared by their classmates and enjoyed a meal together with the elderly. The bravest among them also visited bedridden residents in their rooms, bringing them carefully cut pieces of pancakes so they wouldn’t miss out on the event.

At the end of the activity, the Ady Endre students expressed their impressions, thoughts, and well wishes in short letters, which they handed over to the elderly residents.
