During the event, we express our empathy for needy and socially excluded children who participate in the afternoon educational programs of the two charities through a common prayer and the symbolic lighting of a candle. We will be expecting everyone on the plateau in front of the Roman-Catholic Cathedral in Oradea, regardless of confession or ethnicity.
The welcome speeches will be delivered by the Greek-Catholic diocesan bishop PS. Virgil Bercea and the Roman Catholic bishop Ex. László Böcskei. The candles will be lit starting at 6:45 p.m. and blessed by representatives of the two churches. The event will be accompanied by a youth musical performance. The St. Cecilia Children's Choir of the Roman Catholic Cathedral will perform, as will the young soloist Lorelei Paltin, who will soon be presented to the general public in a talent show of the Romanian Television. The 10-year-old singer will perform the songs A million stars, An Angel and Childhood, don't leave!. We look forward to seeing you.
