In his sermon, pastor Ferenc Láber emphasized that even in old age, there is something worth to be thankful for each day.
At the ceremony that followed the religious service, social caretaker Andrea Dombi made a speech emphasizing how fragile and valuable the inhabitants of the home are, and therefore it is of paramount importance for their caregivers to take care of everyone with respect for their human dignity.
József Dunai, the general director of the Caritas Catolica Association, spoke about the fact that it is the elderly who built the world for us and therefore they deserve only respect and appreciation. Young people could learn a lot from the elders, and the elders deserve to have a peaceful and happy old age in this home run by Caritas.
Andrea Paur, the coordinator of the elderly home, emphasized that the purpose of the employees is to provide a loving and warm environment for the residents. At the same time, she thanked the caregivers who make this possible through their hard work.
After the greetings, the employee Gyöngyi Toth paid tribute to the elderly with a poem by Sándor Sík, and Attila Majoros of Radio Maria offered a musical background for the pancake party that everyone was waiting for. Last but not least, the elders also added to the show: they paid homage to each other and thanked the caretakers by reading together a very beautiful poem, as well as singing together.
